To remember Granny, you also have to Remember Big Al, and my greatest memory of the two of them is the Christmas, Ronda and I spent with them.  36 years later that is still my favorite Christmas.  Our parents went out to a Christmas party and we spend the night with them.  Big Al and Granny had us up all night drinking champagne and playing cards.  I was probably only 5 years old, we stayed up all night listening to their stories of their Christmas of the past, when they were children and after they had their own children.  Memories like that are priceless.
