WOW! There is a saying that you never realize you miss something until you no longer have it. If I could have her back for one hour I would want to talk to her about the excitement she had when she first believed Jesus was out of the tomb. I never understood her shouting at church until I understood that the tomb was empty. She told me that when I understood the concept of grace that I would shout to. But..the best memory was this one. There is a tornado warning in Richmond and her and Big AL where hidden up under mattress. Big Al says, "why do you slide over and give me more room under the mattress"? Granny says, "Doesnt matter Alex if the Lord is going to take us He will just take us"! Without any thought Big Al says, "Well hell,   if you have that kind of D**N faith...slide out and give me the whole mattress"!! One of a kind lady! Granny you are One in a million.

I was very blessed that I got to spend a lot of time with Granny and listen to her many stories and lay up in that bed with her and either take a nap or just talk.  You could talk to Granny about any and everything, and she would listen and not be judgemental or not give her opinion, but just listen.  I can't name one thing I miss or remember about her there are far too many, but I hope she is looking down on me and proud of the things I am doing and have down.  I know that it was her prayers and God's grace that has bought me where I am today.  I miss you Granny.

Ho! there is so many.  Here is one, the time I was having problems with my arm and shoulder.  Mama wrote me a beautiful letter for my birthday and she call me her "DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH"  that GOD had given to her.  It was a letter of encouragement and love and I  cherish that letter.  Even though I was "A DADDY'S GIRL" . Mama  was ALWAYS there for me.

I was over to Kathy's and got stung by a couple of Wasp's.  Aunt Roselia was quick to make a baking soda paste to put on my stings and pull the stinger's out.  She was so comforting and loving.  And I too miss the cakes with the caramel icing.  I will place another memory for momma later on.

I remember coming home and Aunt Roselia knew how much I liked her yellow cake and carmel icing. I was leaving to come back to CAlifornia with Ron the kids and we enjoy that cake as we were on the road. Such "sweet" memories
