The memories I have are so many talking on the phone for hours, stopping by and watching tv on Saturdays with you, falling off to sleep, and most of all just being Mother and Daughter.

I've thought a lot about a memory to share, but not one specific one has come to me.  I remember shopping trips, trips to the doctor, Sunday mornings in the kitchen with that cigarette hanging out of her mouth as she got "happy" to Rev. Ross' gospel music station while cooking breakfast, her shooting basketball with us in the back yard, and her always hiding from the camera.  Although I don't have specific memory, there is one thing that I will be eternally grateful for is that no matter how young, or how old I was, I could always climb into my Granny's bed and just talk.  You could lay any problem you had at her feet.  She would pray with you and for you, then tell you to grow up. Believe me your not always in the right. Most times just talking to her made everything alright.  I was still climbing up in that bed the year she died, with all she was going through she'd always pat the bed and say talk.  I love her and I miss her there was so much more to share.

Memories of Granny.  Where do I begin? My most memorable childhood memory would be walking to downtown Richmond on Saturdays doing some shopping and eating at Luigi or the Sweet Shop.  Buying shoes at Jan's and going to Mr Wiggs.  Older memories were picking her up at work E.K.U. Her waiting on the corner and don't be LATE. Going to Fla. and she wore her support hose on the beach.  Most of all, I MISS talking to her on Sunday mormings and getting her wisdom. I pray that I can be her type of "Granny"!!! To taste her Fried corn is worth the caloies.MMMM that yellow cake and carmel icing.
